The Blues Brothers is a hilarious comedic romp through Chicago, Illinois that combines a witty satire on the tropes and cliches of Hollywood movies with a crisp deadpan humour. When brothers Jake and Elwood Blues learn that the orphanage they grew up in is going to be closed they find themselves on a mission from God to save the orphanage by raising money in a charity gig. In between rousing musical numbers with numerous cameos from stars like Aretha Franklin and Carrie Fisher, Jake and Elwood must survive the pursuit of the Chicago Police Department, a caravan full of Country and Western rednecks, Neo-Nazi thugs, the wrath of Jake's ex-girlfriend and one of the biggest car chases/manhunts known to cinema history
