Adapted from the book by Richard Adams (Watership Down), this animated film is a fierce attack on the use of animals in laboratory experiments. Two dogs, Rowf and Snitter, escape from a secret from a secret government facility and are pursued by their former tormentors (who may have exposed them to the bubonic plague virus). It's angry, heart-breaking and tough to what, but this also shows that all genres of film have the ability to highlight important issues and stir up debate.
