I think that this film is realistic because it shows the traditional Indian family home. It also shows how Indian parents with daughters would act in a time where their daughter would need to get married. The parents would sell their daughters to a man and the wedding would cost a lot. It also shows at the beginning how you would travel, how busy the towns are, what jobs they have in India and how much you would earn. The film shows what it is like to have wealth in India, and if you are wealthy, how much hotels would cost. This film shows how and where men and women would meet before their parents decide for them to get married. They would meet at social events like a Garba which is a special Hindu celebration dance where men and women greet. To parents, a choice of husband is important to ensure their daughter is well looked after and has a good quality of life. This film is important because it shows how life would be as a Hindu woman when a situation like marriage comes around.
