Personally, Arthur Christmas is my favourite Aardman film ever. It has such a unique storyline and is the perfect answer to every child's most asked question, 'how does Santa deliver all those gifts in one night?'.
The animation is utterly faultless however, I was mildly disappointed by the fact that it wasn't done in stop-motion as I feel like it didn't scream Aardman as all of their other films have done. On the other hand, it was nice to see the creators doing something slightly different and almost being out of their comfort zones.
The casting for this film was done brilliantly. Hugh Laurie as Steve was simply outstanding. Jim Broadbent did an amazing job of Arthur and my favourite, Ashley Jensen as Bryony the elf, I don't feel could have been cast any better.
This film is great for anyone of any age. It is really easy to follow and never gets old. It will always be a family favourite to be watched and re-watched time and time again.
