This extraordinary film is about a young girl named Penelope who has “pig-face disorder” which means she has a snout and pig ears! This is because she is cursed because of something that happened in her family’s past. Now, most people would be repelled by how she looks but it’s what is inside you that counts and inside Penelope is a sweet young girl trying to escape the problems caused by her outer appearance! Overall the film is hinting at how you should never judge a book by its cover or a girl by her face and more importantly how you should love yourself for yourself and not care what other people think of you.
Personally, this film needed a better ending because it dragged on too long and too romantic for my taste and so if I was the director I would change it. Other than that this is a thought provoking film and I liked it very much.
