The film the pianist was made in 2002 and it is 142 minutes long. The directors name is Roman Polanski and he did a excellent job creating this film. The film is about a very talented man who is great at playing the piano. The genre of this film a historical drama. Its a very emotional film because its based on true events. This film is about a man called Wladyslaw Szpilman who has a strong family and he loves to play the piano. His life is going well until the Germans decide to kill all the Jews, and made their live miserable. This caused his to loose his family because they got separated and he never saw them again. The Germans did not care about anyone who was a Jew, they will kill them without even thinking about it. This is very disturbing film because they kill old people and this happen in real life in the 1930s . The camera work of the film was nicely done because it made me feel like i was really their. When i was watching this film it made me really upset because it must of been really hard and and upsetting to live them times.I recommend this film 3 stars because its a good film but its a little bit slow. This film won many awards so i recommend it too people that like historical film and people that like to study about the past because all the information is in this film.
