This film is a documentary that is very interesting because it looks at eagle hunting but a girl defying gender stereotypes . It is inspired by Asha Radinski and his photographs that he took in Mongolia. It archived its purpose to show that a girl is just as able as any boy, within a film made surprisingly from little money and crew.
It is about a girl Aisholpan, the protagonist of the film, who falls in love with eagle hunting usually a male recreation but she doesn't want to be like everyone else so she participated in a competition despite of her very sexist elders disagreeing as its goes agenst their culture.
With a crew of only 3 people the different camera shots are as picturesque as a painting. It is set within the summer to winter so all the coulours are contrastingly different. The song by Sia is a motif as it plays many different times in that film
Personally I would not watch this film again this is because the plot is very easy to guess yet it is a fantastic and interesting film set in the mountains of Mongolia which is nothing like I had ever seen before.
Print this reviewThis wonderful film from the central Asian country of Mongolia is somewhere between a documentary and a fictional movie.
