The 2017 remake of Beauty and the beast is as of high quality as the original 1991 musical. Emma Watson perfectly played Belle, as a village bookworm, who invents things and pours her passion into being an advocate for female education.
Gaston, the champion hunter and thick-headed war hero who wants to marry Belle gives an amazing, energetic and cheerful performance, has full control of the village, and can make them do anything he pleases.
It is particularly witty that the beast’s sharp yellow fangs perfectly contrast with the pearly white teeth of Gaston, though Gaston is the true villain of the story, and the beast just wants redemption for what he did in his past.
The CGI was perfect and was fully realistic, and the musical aspect of the film was creating the perfect line between film and musical.
