Marley and Me

In the movie ‘Marley and Me’ a boy and his family own a dog called Marley and the dog gets really ill and is taken to the vets. Will Marley survive? If he doesn’t how are his family going to get through it. This movie is a good movie because it explains everything that happens in it so it is easy to understand.

At the start of the movie it shows Marley sitting and waiting for the children to return home from school on the school bus. He does this every day until one day when he is nowhere to be found and the family wait to see if he returns home. As a puppy Marley was a very well behaved dog but as he grows up he starts to destroy all of the furniture, he also fails obedience classes and his owner John does his best to try and train him again to be like he was when he was as a puppy. Marley always brings out the best in his owner and when he goes missing john finds him near a tree. He is unable to walk. He is then rushed to the vets. John then finds out Marley might not recover from his illness.

I liked this movie because the actors acted out the scenes very well and when it came to the scene where john finds out what has happened to Marley he shows emotion towards Marley as if it was happening to him in real life. He did this when he said “ you’re a good dog Marley.”
