Low-budget, sci-fi tale which uses the 'found footage' sub-genre to tell a story about three American teenagers developing superpowers.

Inconsistant but gripping

What starts out as a rather slow mediocre found footage film about a teen who is a social outcast with a terrible home life and few friends, soon gains speed and originality as the protagonist and two others make a dramatic discovery that changes both the genre and the pace exponentially. The information I have given in this review is in my opinion the most you should know about it before watching to truly appreciate this films clever plot, however the dialogue is rather slow and doesn't always feel genuine, the character development for the main protagonist is well done but feels rushed and other character have little to no character development at all. This is in my opinion an ok film with a great concept but I think if you think about it too much you will start to find fault and plot holes so I would say this is a good "take your brain out" film.
