A Great Sequel to The Beloved Pirates of The Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl
This film (As the rest of them in the trilogy) was greatly delivered by the famed director Gore Verbinski. I only found out Gore was a graduate at The UCLA School of Theater and Film, a famous school where most famous people involved with film (Around the area of California) graduate from such as most of the filmmakers behind early Pixar shorts and films started their career.
The style of these films in the trilogy change throughout the progression of the story from just made of hilarious jokes to a full feature-length pirate drama. I started to notice this after a few scenes of Dead Mans Chest and it became completely obvious in At World's End. To me, this shows great commitment from the crew behind the magic as The Disney Company says, Curse of The Black Pearl was made of jokes and laughs for most of the running time but as the story progresses the team seem to get more indulged and interested with the story. I personally like the way this interests the crew as well you can't make a film if your not interested at all, or else it becomes a big mess.
So let's investigate different aspects of this Seabuckling Scoundrel of a delight yar!
Setting- Nice. As by the name of the title suggests this film is set in The Caribbean in the Golden Age of Piracy and The Georgian Era. A pretty good choice as in those days the Caribbean was a great spot for pirates and in the present day.
Sounds/Music- Repetitive. Okay so the music, yes good, yes fitting, NO! Not original! Well technically yes original but I've just heard it too many times since Curse of The Black Pearl! The only change in soundtrack we got in the trilogy was in At World's End! Seriously Walt Disney Records! Have a variety!
CGI- Brilliant! From Davy Jones' beard to the crew and the Flying Dutchman. Get's better and better every scene!
Storyline- Unexpected. After the first instalment, we all expected it to be over but no! Somehow years have past and East India Trading Company arrive with swagger and power and Jack gets trapped by a cannibalistic tribe and is treated like a king. As well as the fabled Boots-Trap Bill makes his debut, can this be more unexpected and odd?
That's it for this review Me-Hartes! Here is a Land Lover's summary! Arr!
After a traumatic experience being captured by skeletons, Elizabeth Swann is now scheduled to marry her hero William Turner. They both live happily on Port Royal. That was until snobby Lord Cuttler Beckett comes along demanding ownership of the port for the East India Trading Company. Meanwhile, Captain Jack is partying with cannibals. Will Port Royal be lost? Will the cannibals eat beloved Jack?
