I loved the book of Charlotte's Web so I just had to watch the film! The film was as good as the book, charting the friendship between a pig and a spider. I didn't like spiders before the film but now I feel sorry for them and the way people treat them.

The little girl, Fern saves the run of the pig litter and calls him Wilbur - she feeds him out of a baby bottle and even baths him in the sink! When he gets too big , he goes to live on her Uncles farm. Here he becomes friends with Charlotte, a spider who lives in the barn. When he hears that the family are fattening him to have for dinner it is Charlotte how hatches a plan to save him. Can he return the favour to her one day?

Beware this is a weepy film....get the whole box of tissues out not just one! It also shows us the value and importance of real friendship.
