Matilda is a really brilliant film. The story is about a girl who is very clever and loves reading books. She is kind of neglected by her family. Her father sells dodgy cars and her mother is only interested in her looks, talking to her friends on the telephone and going to bingo. She has to stay home and wait for delivery of her father’s stolen car parts.
When her parents eventually allow her to go to school she has a lovely teacher (Miss Honey) but the headmistress (Miss Trunchbull) is horrible.
My favourite character in this film is Lavender, Matilda’s classmate.
