Based on a true story, Eight Below is a beautiful film with unique characters, great camera settings and breath-taking suspense. There is more than one main character, a determined man called Jerry, an intelligent husky called Maya and a pack of eight dogs, 2 malamutes and 6 huskies. The dogs are fantastic actors and work together as a team when their master (Jerry) and his crew have to leave them behind for a few days but discover they are unable to go back for the dogs. For months, the dogs waited patiently.
Struggling to survive, the characters will do whatever it takes to reunite.
It is an emotional film filled with action, love and adventure.
If you watch this film, you will find yourself appreciating and loving your dog even more.
If you're into live action movies, Antarctica and animals, this is the film for you. Cooper, played by Jason Biggs, will always lighten the mood and make you laugh.
I rated it a 5 star because of the true story, the settings, the acting and because it is just all round enjoyable.
There are a few colours in this film, white being the main one for the snow and ice. It is relaxing and doesn't overwhelm your head when you look at the screen. Blue, grey and black create the mood of Antarctica and the characters too.
I hope you like this film.
