The Rugrats Movie (1998)

The Rugrats Movie is an American animated adventure comedy film. It is based on the Nickelodeon animated television series Rugrats. The directors are Igor Kovalyov and Norton Virgien. The film was written by David N. Weiss & J. David Stem. The film has the voices of EG. Daily, Tara Strong, Christine Cavanaugh, Kath Soucie, Cheryl Chase, Cree Summer, and Charlie Adler, along with guest stars David Spade, the funny Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Cho, Busta Rhymes, and Tim Curry.

The Rugrats has a great plot to the film. Didi Pickles is having her second baby and is sure it is going to be a girl. Everyone else believes it will be a boy. Didi has a baby shower and her friends rush her straight to the hospital. as she goes into labour. In all the commotion the kids crawl off and go on an adventure. The baby is born a boy and is named Dil.

Dil is a very hard baby to look after as he cries non stop for attention, He is very greedy as he keeps all of the toys for himself, He refuses to share with Tommy. There is a huge fight between Tommy and Dil over Tommy's teddy bear.and their dad Stu has a talk with him about being a big brother and that soon he will be happy to have Dil as his little brother. He gives Tommy a locket with a picture of Tommy and Dil stuck together and a watch inside and he calls it his "sponsitility" which means a short word for responsibility.

Dil is really naughty to the other babies and they take him back to the hospital. Tommy ends up driving crazily through the streets. Dil steals Angelica's Cynthia doll and she takes the family dog Spike to go and find it.

The babies crash in the woods and they get lost. They spot a ranger's cabin where they think a wizard lives, and they go there as they think he will take them home. Dil is taken away by some circus monkeys on the run from the circus and Tommy goes out to find Dil by himself.

The parents find out that the babies are missing and try to find them.

Tommy finds Dil in a storm and they hide under a tree. Tommy tries to take care of Dil. Dil drinks all of the milk and keeps the large blanket for himself as he is greedy. Tommy falls into a puddle of mud. Tommy goes crazy and nearly pours banana baby food on Dil so that the monkeys might take him away. The storms thunder and lightening scare Dil and the two brothers falls asleep together..

After the storm has stopped the other babies find Tommy and Dil, They bump into Angelica and Spike and they make their way to the wizard.. On a bridge, they bump into the monkeys and the monkeys get scared off by a wolf who tries to kill the babies for food. Spike the dog fights the wolf until they both fall off the bridge. Stu is out looking for the babies in a pterodactyl aircraft which he made and he, finally finds them all but he crash lands into the ranger's cabin.The babies think he is the wizard. The babies are then reunited with their families and the monkeys are returned to the circus. The monkeys then attack a news reporter. The families return home and the babies accept Dil as one of the group after he helps them in get an ice cream from the fridge.

The film is a nice animation film and I think all genres will love to watch this movie.
