Back to the Future (1985)

Back to the future (1985) is probably one of the most significant films ever made. So significant that it has defined the modern perception of the 1980's, it established tropes and trends that have now been present for decades and has inspired many to dream of driving a Delorean at 88 miles per hour (Hopefully with seatbelts and insurance).

The film follows Marty (Michael J Fox) and his crazy companion Doc (Christopher Lloyd) as they go on an adventure when Doc's time machine (which has been built into a Delorean) accidentally sends Marty into the past. In the almost surreal year of 1955, Marty has to use all of his smarts to keep his future together.

back to the future (1985) is iconic in almost every way a film can be, with music by Alan Silvestri forming an excellent backdrop for the professional camerawork which helps to portray the well-written and perfectly paced storyline which is propped on the unique and talented cast. Every character, from the most insignificant extra to Doc and Marty plays an important role in the film and its storyline.

Particular highlights of the film include the character of Doc. Christopher Lloyd's acting and dedication to the role helps to make Doc one of the most memorable characters in film. A second highlight is the Delorean time machine which has become a pop culture symbol and is associated on a base level with the 80s, mad science and pure genius.

In all, Back to the future (1985) is a fun, quirky adventure with a lot of spirit and genius to share and a mandatory viewing for anyone above the age of 1.
