Frozen 2 is something I have been excited to watch given its previous success. And after watching it I feel that it was a great expansion on the Frozen world.
Frozen 2's animation looks fantastic the movement and particle effects all look breathtaking. Furthermore, the music was astounding as to be expected from talented voice actors like Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff, but I don't think there was a song that could replace "let it go" other than "into the unknown". I also enjoyed the more mature story that focuses on growing up and change.
But I didn't like that halfway through most characters other than Anna and Elsa seem to have been written out the story, for example Christopher seems to just disappear for half the movie and the reappear at the end, it would have been better if we could have more time with side characters and new character because I don't even know the names of some of the new characters. In addition, maybe the movie could have felt like it had more stakes and pressure if there was an actual villain, it seemed as though the plot wouldn't really affect them because of how little urgency the characters had
Overall I think this a movie worth going to see even if you think you have outgrown Frozen you might be pleasantly surprised by the new direction this movie takes.
