I liked this film because it helped me understand the history of America during the time of the Vietnam War. It had many scenes of famous people in America at that time such as President Kennedy and President Nixon. It made me realise that war is not nice and people get injured and end up having different lives than they expected. It was a very funny film and the main character, played by Tom Hanks, made me laugh so many times. It was also sad at times but it showed what life was really like at that time. This was an epic film that has won many awards and I think people should watch this if they have not already.
