This is a good Japanese anime directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Ponyo is a fish who makes friends with a boy named Sosuke after she was washed up on the shore inside a plastic bottle. Sosuke saved her from the bottle and took her home in a bucket full of water. Ponyo’s mother is a godlike creature who owns the ocean and her father acts like a villain who hates humans. There is some action when the sea bursts up onto the road and I think the moral in the film is that you shouldn’t litter because poor fish like Ponyo can be harmed.
Some stars who have voiced the characters are Cate Blanchett, Tina Fey and Liam Neeson.
I would recommended this film to families and children over 5.
