The story is action packed with a pretty good plot , filled with surprises . However , there are some parts that are quite violent ( the torture of James Bond ) and I think that the story lacks-depth. It doesn't bring out a clear message and most of the scenes are simply gunfights involving violence , sexual scenes and of course , Bond playing poker at the casino . Sure , these scenes are exciting/ nerve-racking to watch but I think that the plot would be a bit better if the filmmakers could use this film to explore different themes ( eg: the nature of humanity ) so Casino Royale wouldn't become a typical "James Bond vs bad guys" film. Anyways , its pretty good , with lovely music/special effects but it certainly has room for improvement .
