William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet

4 stars

21 Nov 2020

On Friday 20th of November 2020 I watched a modern twist on the love story of Shakespeare's play Romeo & Juliet. The film is about a rivalry between Verona's two well-established families, the Capulets and the Montagues, which affects the relationship of their children Romeo and Juliet but the film does have one thing in common with the original play and that was at the very end of the film something happens to the lovers but I will not spoil it for other viewers that have not seen this film yet. This film has one of my favourite actors that plays one of the main characters and that is Leonardo DiCaprio he has also been in one of my favourite romantic films the film he was in was called Titanic he played a character called Jack Dawson but that film always makes me cry because again something happens to the main character at the end but again I will not give the spoiler away and it has my favourite song in it which is called My heart will go on which is sang by Céline Dion who is a Canadian singer. This film only gets a four star rating because it has a lot of violence but apart from that the film was good and it had the basic love story between Romeo who was a Montague and his meant enemy Juliet who was a Capulet but there love was so strong for each other that they did not care about the war between their families and they did not want to be apart from each other. That is the end of my review on the film Romeo & Juliet that was made in 1996 I hope you enjoyed reading my film review today.
