A fantastical remake of the 60s film the Absent-Minded Professor, Flubber is a quirky movie which will have the whole family laughing, crying and dancing along with the characters! The main character, Professor Brainard, works at a college that is in danger of being shut down due to a lack of funds. But one day, the Professor invents an energetic solution with a bit too much free will: Flubber! Flubber is not safe, yet the professor will guard his discovery with his life if he has to! But being a genius has its own problems: the Professor has missed his wedding to his fiancé, Sarah, for the third time. On top of all this his ex-friend is trying to marry Sarah! Can the professor still come out on top, even with his trusty robot, Weebo, by his side and of course, Flubber?

I would recommend this slap-stick comedy to young families and children of all ages. A word of caution: there is quite a lot going on in the movie: comedy, action, romance, music, etc. so, because of its many themes, the movie Flubber may be confusing to younger watchers.

Overall a good movie which will entertain the whole family, Flubber has very good Hollywood style effects including Flubber and a flying car. I would rate Flubber 4.75 out of 5. It just didn’t hit that “outstanding” mark, but is a good film that I would encourage you to view if you are looking for a family friendly, fantasy movie with a bit of comedy and a lot of Flubber!
