'I Am Legend' honestly may be one of the best movies I have ever watched. Initially, I went into watching it, expecting horror and gore. However, this film is so much more sophisticated. It is heart-wrenching, so be prepared to cry from the bottom of your heart. Lawrence guides you along the story of 'Robert Neville', supposedly the last man on earth. I believe that the reason this film is so clever, stems from the fact that you are introduced to only 2 characters at first - Dr Neville and his dog - so your bond with them is ridiculously strong. Although, this is a feel good film at times, and includes a small amount of humour (which Robert deprives greatly), I would say that it is a nerve-racking thriller overall. The use of CGI and special effects in this film is actually pretty impressive in my opinion and the soundtrack is perfect, fitting each scene like a jigsaw piece. The only thing that I would change about this film was the ending, as it felt a little rushed and unnecessary. Apart from that, this film is timeless and should definitely be watched by anyone with a taste for emotive thrillers!
