In this film I loved how when Matilda thought she could punish adults she did lots of cheeky pranks on them. I also liked how she was very independent and clever. My favourite character was Miss Honey because she was very bright and kind but always did what she was told. I would recommend this film to children aged 5+ because it was very magical and funny. This film has brought Roald Dahl's book to life using amazing actors and great camera trickery. I loved the music and the songs as they were all up beat and happy. The scenes were all brought out well to say it was made 25 years ago and the characters worked well in them. I was fascinated to find out that Danny DeVito had 3 roles in the film: he Directed, Narrated and played Matilda’s Dad; Harry Wormwood!
