A MOST POWERFUL MOVIE !!!!

We watched 'The Butler', as our 1st film in Black History Month.

This film made me, Angry, Sad and Smile. This story is based on the True Story of Cecil a 'Black Butler'. Who luckily removed from the Cotton Fields as a young boy, where his family and friends worked. He was trained to be a House Slave. Cecil worked hard and worked his way from The Cotton Field owners House, to probably the most famous house in the world, THE WHITE HOUSE. Cecil is a quiet man who just gets on with his job. But he is noticed by his Presidents and their families, not for the colour of his skin but for who he is. A very wise man.

Cecil plays a huge part in JFK's work to end racial inequalities throughout the USA, and maybe throughout the world.

One line in the film stood out to me "It's a white mans world, we just have to live in it". That made me so angry. Its not a White Mans World its our World. no matter what the colour of our skin.

The Actors were amazing, from the lead actor Forest Whitaker, to Harry Potters Alan Rickman. I would expect that they found playing the parts very hard because what the film stands for. I learnt so much about Racism in the USA during this film, and the fights each hard working Black Person had to fight for.

Everyone should watch this film.
