Whale Rider is about a young Māori girl called Pai who lived with her grandfather named Koro.
Once Koro was teaching the other boys how to do the Hakka, Pai saw him teaching and she copied him.
But then, Koro saw Pai became furious. He screamed at Pai to say sorry to the other boys.Even at home Koro was angry and then dropped a cup intentionally.Pai’s grandmother was nice so she encouraged her.
Then Koro threw his necklace in the sea and told the boys to take it out.The boys couldn’t find it.Then Pai got the necklace for Koro as well as bringing a scorpion out.
After that, the whole family tried to save the whale that was going to die but couldn’t do so. Then Pai came to its rescue.
When Koro came to know that Pai got the necklace, he was very happy of Pai and they lived happily ever after.
This was not a commendable movie so I would only rate it only 2/5 stars.
