I have not had to endure The Troubles, nor it’s consequences on Irish society and history. And the experience I have with The Troubles has been indirect, mostly people talking about it and this film.
I’m not fond of historical films, I’m more into fiction so if your movie about WW2 has dragons in it there’s a higher chance I’ll see it. But I like this film, though I found the intro being in colour and the rest of the film to be in (mostly) black and whight to be jaring but not entirely unwatchable.
