Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is a action-packed film that is based on Greek mythology. The protagonist is a teenage boy called Percy Jackson and the antagonist is Hades. I really liked the story line because it was very fast pace and it was linear. It was set in the USA but travels around different states throughout the film. The film crew used a lot of different techniques when filming by looking through the characters eyes at some points but also in different positions at other times. They have used Foley sound when they are doing the fighting scenes for example. It was a sci-fi and action film that was originally a book by Rick Riordan and has been adapted slightly and made into a film. Rick Riordan has written other books in the Olympians series including The Sea Of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle Of The Labyrinth, The Last Olympian.
