Psycho (1960)

Psycho is a film that tracks back all the way to the 1960’s when the movie first came out and it is horror movie directed by the famous Alfred Hitchcock. Alfred Hitchcock was doing amazing things back when this movie was first released as he was doing things that were never done before, and he created his own unique style for his movies.

When watching the film, I found it quite interesting and fascinating to watch as it is not the usual film I would watch as it is quite old and still in black and white. I am not the biggest fan of movies in black and white as I believe that colour in a movie adds a whole other level rather than without it. I am definitely a fan of more modern movies rather than older films like this, but I thought that the film was still pretty decent. What I liked about this film was the use of many different camera angles witch Alfred Hitchcock used in order to give context to certain scenes in the film and to also help the viewer understand the tension that is building in the moment. The various camera angles used in this movie such as extreme close ups to show the facial expressions of the characters in intense moments are well placed by Hitchcock.

Overall, I thought that the film was alright but not really my type of film that I enjoy watching with it being in black and white and also with me not being a big horror movie fan.
