About The Into Film Festival

About The Into Film Festival

Supporting our vision of putting film at the heart of children and young people's education, the Into Film Festival is the largest youth-focused film festival in the world! After six successful years, the Into Film Festival will return 6-22 November.

Over 2 million pupils and teachers have walked through cinema doors across the UK since the first Festival in 2013, and that number only increases each year. Boasting everything from specialist films to exclusive previews of upcoming blockbusters - as well as inclusive SEN and autism-friendly screenings - the Into Film Festival has something to offer everyone.

Tickets go live 5 September and will be free to book for teachers, giving you access to:

  • 150 films - covering themes including anti-bullying, the environment and community!
  • Showing at 600 venues across the UK
  • Free learning resources
  • Talks, workshops and careers advice
  • Audio-described, subtitled and autism-friendly screenings

Teachers actively and directly feed into the development of the Festival programme, and 94% of teachers surveyed felt the Festival activities were valuable to the broader education of young people, and 83% said the festival is useful in helping to deliver the curriculum.

I think the Festival is a great opportunity for students to not only learn in a different environment but experience things in a different way, it helps develop relationships between students and also teachers and students. It's surprising the impact it can have.
