Synopsis

This American sci-fi film brings the Japanese film monster of the same name to a contemporary setting for a reboot of the franchise. Following an apparent meltdown at a Tokyo nuclear plant and – 15 years later- the arrival of prehistoric creatures craving radioactive energy, Godzilla emerges from the deep in Hawaii to add to the terrifying chaos facing humanity. The subsequent battle, complete with phosphorescent bursts of fire and tumbling skyscrapers is grand, noisy and tremendous fun. True to the original, this epic blockbuster also contains a poignant message about man’s mistreatment of nature.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
