Kate Winslet on women in the film industry

Since coming onto the scene in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures in 1994, Kate Winslet has established herself as one of the most celebrated and respect actors in the industry.

Last year Kate starred as Joanna Hoffman in Steve Jobs, and sat down with our reporter Beattie to talk about everything from getting to grips with Aaron Sorkin's dialogue, to why she feels it's important to play strong female characters on screen. Kate even stopped to commend Beattie on her journalistic skills.

Kate wasn't the only inspiring woman we've spoken to in the past. We were honoured to host an interview between  Emma Watson and Malala Yousafzai to open the Into Film Festival 2015, and also to meet  director Amma Asante, screenwriter Misan Sigay, and actor Gugu Mbatha-Raw, to talk about how they brought the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle to the screen.
