Katie Leung announced as new Into Film Ambassador

We are extremely pleased to announce that acclaimed Scottish actress Katie Leung - well known for her role as Cho Chang in the Harry Potter series - has become our new Into Film Ambassador in Scotland.

Leung recently lent her support to the 2018 Into Film Awards ceremony, where she was on hand to present the award for Film Club of the Year (12 and Under), alongside actor Fionn O'Shea (Handsome Devils). We are greatly excited to continue our collaboration, and discover what more she can bring to Into Film and how together we can continue to inspire young people in Scotland.

Our Ambassadors support Into Film in many ways, from visiting young people in their schools and colleges to supporting our annual events such as the Into Film Awards and the Into Film Festival. Leung joins an esteemed group of long running Into Film Ambassadors, including Sir Kenneth Branagh, Naomi Harris, Eddie Redmayne and Matthew Rhys; all of whom do incredible work providing young people with the chance to form a meaningful and long-lasting relationship with film.

Katie Leung has garnered international recognition with critically acclaimed performances across film, television and theatre, and was recognised as a prestigious BAFTA Breakthrough Brit in 2014. Leung has had a hugely varied and exciting TV and theatre career, and taken lead roles in BBC2's television drama miniseries One Child, Mia Chung's You For Me For You at The Royal Court Theatre, and the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Snow in Midsummer. Coming up, she will star in new ITV1 series White Dragon in Autumn 2018, and animated TV series Moominvalley in 2019. She has also appeared in several prominent films including: The Foreigner, opposite Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, and famously starred as Cho Chang in the beloved Harry Potter franchise.
