Using powerful new film Beautiful Boy in cinemas 18 January our brand-new Relationships and Resilience assembly resource and activities will help young people aged 15-18 across the UK engage with the PSHE curriculum.

Based on the best-selling pair of memoirs from father and son David and Nic Sheff, Beautiful Boy chronicles the true and inspiring story of survival, relapse and recovery in a family coping with addiction over the course of many years. The core assembly can be followed up with optional in-class extension activities to further explore the themes and issues above using the characters of David and Nic as a starting point.

Our Relationships and Resilience resource is supported by Addaction, an organisation that works with young people and families who need help or advice with drugs, alcohol, self-harm and mental health problems.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
