Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, and taking place between 5-14 March 2021. This year's theme is 'Innovating for the Future', as pupils are encouraged to look ahead and apply STEM skills and knowledge to problem-solve across the curriculum.
To celebrate, British Science Week have developed three outstanding downloadable activity packs - with one for early years, one for Primary, and one for Secondary. As part of the Primary activity pack, we at Into Film designed an activity that takes inspiration from the world of VFX and the work of a Previs Supervisor. You'll find our activity on pages 21 and 22 of the Primary pack.
Constructing the visual world of a film using 3D models and virtual storyboards, a Previs Supervisor helps to distil a directors' vision. In the engaging activity in the Primary pack above, pupils will reflect on the past, present and future of learning as they storyboard and visualise a classroom for the future.
You can learn more about the work of a Previs Supervisor by watching our exclusive video below, where industry professional Faraz Hameed explains what his role entails.
British Science Week are also coordinating science events across the UK. Check out Science Live to find what's happening in your area.
