Life with Tourette’s is a motivational resource for use with students aged 15+. With curriculum links to PSHE, citizenship, and health and wellbeing, this immersive lesson helps embed empathy and encourages students to play their part in creating inclusive spaces for all.
I Swear is the powerful story of the life of John Davidson, whose activism and youth work has positively impacted greater awareness of Tourette syndrome in the UK, improving lived experience for those with Tourette's and other forms of neurodiversity.
Through engagement with the film's trailer and exclusive clips, students will compare contrasting perceptions to John over time. By following his journey, they'll come to understand the importance of education in overturning misconceptions, and discover how every one of us can make a real impact to improving inclusivity.

Kirk Jones’ emotionally engaging, funny and compelling script charts John Davidson’s Tourette's diagnosis at the age of 15 years old. Set within 1980s Britain, the story follows him throughout his troubled teens and early adulthood, and explores this little known and entirely misunderstood condition, along with his attempts to live a ‘normal’ life against the odds.
