Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
As the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation continues across the UK, and many schools are closed, we're keen to continue providing ways to keep young people meaningfully occupied. This is why we've launched a brand new review writing competition on our social media channels to help young people flex and develop their literacy and analytical skills.
Encourage young people to write a review of any film they watch in 100 words or less. Then, simply send us a photo of their review on Twitter or Facebook, and include the entrant's age, and the winner will receive a £20 Amazon voucher. We will look to celebrate a variety of winners, taking into consideration age, effort and originality. A winner will be awarded each week - just remember to tag us in each post and use the hashtag #Review100.
Note: Due to safeguarding issues regarding young people on social media, entries may only be submitted by parents, carers, guardians or educators on behalf of young people.
For those that want to say more than 100 words can convey in their reviews, remember - club members can also still log in and post their reviews on the Into Film website, where our ongoing Review of the Week competition continues as normal.
Looking for review writing tips? Why not use our Review Writing Frame - a resource created specifically for young people to help them improve their review writing. Download this template below to help budding young critics organise their ideas and get creative. Also available to download in the Welsh language.
Check out the video below, where professional film critic Danny Leigh - who writes for The Guardian and previously hosted the BBC's flagship film programme - offers up his top five film review writing tips.
