Discover free films for watching, discussing and exploring filmmaking.
Registrations are now open for the 2016/17 edition of our flagship free filmmaking programme: See It, Make It.
See It, Make It (SIMI) matches participating Into Film Clubs with a professional film practitioner to support both training for educators and skill development for up to 20 young people per club through the making of a short film.
Running from September 2016 to March 2017, participating clubs will receive regular sessions led by a film practitioner to work through the different aspects of film production; including idea development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, shooting with cameras, recording sound, and editing. Young people will have the chance to take on a variety of production roles, ensuring that the process and the final film both feature high levels of youth authorship.
Club leaders will receive CPD delivered by the film practitioner supporting them, or by their Programme Coordinator. This CPD can be tailored to meet the specific needs and interests of each club leader, and to support the continuation of filmmaking activities after the programme ends.
At the end of the programme, the resulting films will be showcased at celebratory events at local cinemas. All films produced as a result of the programme will also be considered for the Into Film Awards and Film of the Month.
To be eligible to apply for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
We are looking for up to 40 clubs to participate, so if you believe your club fits the above criteria and has a passion for filmmaking, then register your interest below and ensure that you get to take part in this great free filmmaking programme.
