Inspired by the prehistoric adventures of the world's first family, our The Croods 2: Explore Your Inner Crood resource is a two-lesson framework that can be delivered in class or used for home-based learning. Created in partnership with DreamWorks Animation, this cross-curricular learning tool enhances essential maths, geography, literacy and PE skills to advance students' personal development and academic attainment.

Voiced by Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds, The Croods 2: A New Age follows our Stone Age family as they set out to find a new home. When a walled-in paradise presents itself, the Croods think their problem is solved. That is until they meet the inhabitants of this strange new world, the Bettermans (emphasis on the "better"), a family a few rungs above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder.

Using the Croods' prehistoric world as a reference point, The Croods 2: Explore Your Inner Crood engages students, aged 5-11, in a series of interactive PSHE-led activities, both autonomously and in team-building scenarios. Like the Croods and the Bettermans, students will explore essential interpersonal and practical survival skills for navigating new situations and resolving conflict. They'll also engage their map reading skills, take on a creative writing task, and work collaboratively to build a Croods-style dwelling.

The resource is delivered across a range of media including an official AV trailer, teacher-facing notes, activity sheets and an Explore Your Inner Crood online quiz.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
