Short (1-4 activities)
A film guide that looks at 12 Years a Slave (2013), the extraordinary true story of Solomon Northup, a free black man who was abducted from New York and sold into slavery in 1841.
This guide is useful for exploring topics including History, English and Human Rights in addition to highlighting themes surrounding racism and prejudice, slavery, historical events, historical periods, historical movements, books and plays, autobiographies, abuse and equality.
