A film guide that looks at Belle (2013), an absorbing costume drama about the illegitimate mixed-race daughter of a Royal Navy admiral in the 18th Century, blending period romance and politics.
This guide is useful for exploring topics including History, Art and Design, Human Rights, Law, PSHE Education and Politics in addition to highlighting themes surrounding visual arts, historical periods, law and order, campaigns and revolutions, racism and prejudice, slavery, love and relationships, British cinema and ethics.
