A film guide that looks at The Breadwinner (2017), a compelling animation set in Afghanistan about a young girl who disguises herself as a boy to provide for her family after her father is unjustly arrested.

This guide is useful for exploring topics including Citizenship, PSHE Education and Literacy in addition to highlighting themes surrounding Middle Eastern countries, crime and punishment, law and order, democracy, family, life and death, gender representation, religions and beliefs, and poverty.
