How do Into Film Clubs work?
Find out more about what's involved in running your very own Into Film Club.
Short (1-4 activities)
England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland
This resource provides clips, stills and activity templates to enable students to work with the stimulus of Flash Gordon (1980, PG) to investigate and analyse democracy, dictatorship and propaganda. For English focussed lessons there is guidance to encourage students to demonstrate their understanding and interpretation of characters, setting and story in the film text through role-play. This resource was written in collaboration with Into Film by a Teach First History teacher, for the BFI's Sci-Fi Days of Fear and Wonder blockbuster season.
