Into Film and Africa in Motion are delighted to be working in partnership to offer educators working with 5-19 year olds a free animation CPD session.
The session will showcase two unique African film packages and teaching resources for both Primary and Secondary school teachers. For Primary, this will be Classic African Animation, featuring a series of short films and for Secondary this will be Race Relations in the UK featuring the films Jemima & Johnny + Rage.
We will also explore narrative, planning and design using a variety of materials to create your own animation. Learn how stop-frame animations can be made in the classroom using a range of technology such as digital cameras, iPads and smart phones, and edited using a variety of programmes, with an African twist!
The session will also examine the ways in which animation can be used as a framework for a range of curricular needs, encouraging active learning and helping raise attainment for a range of assessment objectives.
Equipment, materials and refreshments will be provided.
We endeavor to inspire and inform through an engaging and fun Professional Learning opportunity!
