Join Into Film at the South Somerset Partnership School in Yeovil for a very special day of training exploring Wellbeing on Film.
During the first session you will be guided through multiple mindfulness exercises, via a collection of clips from feature and youth-made films, culminating in a light-touch filmmaking task.
In response to the rising rates of depression and anxiety in young people, we have created Mindfulness on Film in conjunction with the Mental Health Foundation.
In the afternoon, we will explore the topic of Staying Safe Online through short and feature film texts, analysing appropriate behaviours and actions of the characters, as well as investigating real life contexts such as questioning what information we choose to share online versus in the real world.
Created in partnership with Childnet International, Staying Safe Online will introduce you to the importance of cyber-safety for an online generation.
Finally our Anti-Bullying CPD will develop your confidence in tackling conversations around bullying, examining appropriate behaviours through the analysis of on-screen action and using higher order questioning techniques and practical activities, such as character crossroads and conscience alleys.
Our Anti-Bullying training, created in partnership with the Anti-Bullying Alliance, has been made with educators of PSE, Health and Wellbeing and Citizenship in mind.
A light lunch will be provided on the day.
