Join Into Film and Award-winning educators and young people at The Hollies, Cardiff for the launch of Into Film Cymru's new Film in a Fortnight ALN resource.

The Film in a Fortnight resource has been created as an introductory tool for teachers wishing to start using film in the classroom and reap the benefits of using film to support key curriculum and learning objectives around literacy and digital competency. The resource has been designed to support teachers working with pupils with additional learning needs in running a series of film related activities. Activities are broad, therefore would need adapting to fit the specific needs of the learner(s) you are working with.

Film is a powerful tool that can be used to support the Expressive Arts area of learning within the new curriculum for Wales. Film in a Fortnight also reflects how film can help schools achieve the four purposes outlined within the new curriculum.

By using this resource learners will be able to explore and experience different issues and topics through film, whilst developing their creative skills. It also gives them the space and tools to respond and reflect on materials and activities presented, to enhance their learning.

As part of this unique event, educators will also get the chance to learn about how The Hollies, Cardiff won the Into Film Club of the Year Award earlier this year and how their use of film to support curriculum objectives, provide cultural experiences and enhance learning opportunities.
