Film is an incredibly powerful tool to engage young people and capture their imagination. Our training places film at the heart of education to inspire and challenge students through bringing texts to life.
This session will introduce participants to Into Film and demonstrate the support that is available to educators working with 5-19 year olds. We will also provide practical taster activities that explore both film literacy and filmmaking, providing you with the skills to take back to class and begin using straight away.
This session will also give participants the chance to hear from other educators in their area who use film as a tool, as well as provide ample opportunity for peer to peer sharing and questions.
All the materials shown in the session will be made available to participants to use in class with their students. These will include a PowerPoint Presentation with embedded film content and a textual analysis tool for use with any text. There are also many other resources available to download for free from www.intofilm.org/resources
Refreshments will be provided.
