In this session, designed for educators delivering film qualifications, you will examine key theory, practice and terminology associated with editing.

You’ll be introduced to a variety of editing techniques – from the stop tricks of early films to cross-cutting and continuity editing. As you analyse their use in popular films and engage in practical exercises, you’ll deepen your own understanding and pick up tips on how to explore editing further with your students.

Participants will receive a free copy of the PowerPoint presentation used in the session, as well as additional resources for use in class.

This session is for educators of 14–18-year-olds. If you are having trouble accessing this session or if you have any additional accessibility requirements, please contact onlinehelp@intofilm.org
