The story of Irish musician Sinéad O'Connor's rise to worldwide fame, and how her iconoclastic personality, her consistent championing of causes, resulted in her exile from the pop mainstream.  The core of the film focuses on her prophetic words and deeds across a six-year period (1987-1993), making rich use of archive material, blended with specially shot drama recon. The revisioning of Sinead's story, through that archive and specially shot footage, evokes a the sense of time, leading us to reflect on the legacy of this fearless trailblazer, through a contemporary feminist lens. The film is preceded by a careers talk from archive film producers Jo Stones (Nothing Compares, Queen of Speed) and Kate Griffiths (The Sparks Brothers, Soul Boys of the Western World).
