Avatar made amazing claims to its name but i don't believe it's quite the motion picture event it claims to be. It doesn't have an original plot, the story line follows closely that of "Dances with wolves"basically Avatar is dances with wolfs with loaded effects, and a huge difference in budget, also the script isn't brilliant and has holes in. However it's not all bad,and the effects are brilliantly mastered. From seeing it in the cinemas I noticed that though the 3D isn't franchise 3D, the effect it has on you really immerses you in the world james cameroon has created. I think that when creating the Navi tribes they might have had african tribes in mind, as this reminded me of it and also it feels slightly voodoo. The inside of the Navi tree base reminded me of an anthill with all the inside web of twists and the spiral through the middle it's really incredible . To match the world the creatures in it are very imaginative though they fall into similarities with creatures of earth they are still all very realistic and believable. The music was very epic and fitted well with the world and the story, Overall there is the basic idea of nature vs machines, natural vs unnatural. Avatar has its faults, but its not a bad film at all.
